ASPIRIN LOW DOSE
We are getting older (well a lot of us are) and many of us due to health condition’s have to take a low dose ASPIRIN daily.
Until recently I have been purchasing them at our regular Drug Store and paying quite a lot for them. We have been watching sale’s and trying to make points/offer’s etc but still find these quite expensive, especially with both my husband and myself on these each day.
As an example Superstore this week has a SALE for $14.49 for 180 tablets. Yearly that would be (using a sale price) almost $28.98… You can get a years supply at Costco for $5.00…that is a savings of $23.98 per person using a sale price…WOW! AND you don’t need a membership to get these! Simply tell the person at the door you are going to the Pharmacy (this confirmed today by phone)
I plan on taking my prescription list with me to the store and check out their fee’s for our prescriptions. I have been told (not verified yet) that they charge less than half of the regular dispensing fee’s that most pharmacies charge. In my mind it is worth checking out and I will let you all know the results.
Just imagine if you are on lets say 6 prescriptions yearly (as I said we are aging lol ) and you can save 50% of the $10 normal dispensing fee…and most prescriptions are refilled every three months…so doing the math on this :
6 perscription’s, refilled every 3 month’s, calculating the standard dispensing fee’s of $10 = $240 for dispensing
6 perscription’s, refilled every 3 months, calculating 50% of the normal dispensing fee = $120 for dispensing
That ALONE is a savings of $120 not looking at the cost of the medication which hopefully will also be less!
I say, worth checking into!
